Requirements & limits

Supported file formats, service-plan quotas and the technical limits worth knowing.

A quick reference for the numbers and constraints you will meet using Store Directory.

File formats

FormatNotes
CSVMust have two coordinate columns. Save as UTF-8
ShapefileZip the whole set (.shp, .shx, .dbf, .prj) into one .zip
GeoJSON · KML · GPKG · GMLUpload directly, coordinates already inside
Google SheetPaste the link, no file needed. The sheet must be shared with the service account as Viewer

Service-plan quotas

Your account's plan limits four things:

QuotaWhat happens at the limit
Number of mapsYou cannot create more; the system shows a plan comparison and invites an upgrade
Published mapsYou cannot publish more, though you can still create drafts
UsersYou cannot add new members
Data pointsYou cannot upload more data

There is no limit on datasets

The plan does not cap the number of datasets. If the Datasets page shows only 10 rows, that is pagination at 10 files per page, not a quota.

Storage

  • The quota belongs to the whole account, not to individuals — everyone draws from one pool.
  • The total is the sum of each member's individual quota (200MB per person by default).
  • When it is full, every member is blocked from uploading, not just whoever filled it.
  • The Storage card turns amber at 75% and red at 90%.

What the system does not have

Listed so you do not go looking:

  • Peak hours within a day.
  • Phone calls to stores.
  • Conversion rate and actual visits.
  • Analysis by category or product line.
  • Setting a default centre point and zoom level per map.
  • Choosing a template for the public map.
  • Editing your personal profile inside Store Directory — it syncs from your VietMap account.

Access rights

  • The Analytics section requires the dashboard view permission.
  • Reports and the Activity log additionally depend on whether your plan includes them. Without it, the corresponding entry does not appear in the navigation bar.
