Introduction

Signing in & accounts

How to sign in, choose a working account, view your profile and sign out safely from Store Directory.

To start using Store Directory you sign in with a VietMap Solutions account. This page covers signing in, choosing which account to work in, viewing your profile, and signing out safely.

Signing in

Store Directory uses VietMap single sign-on (SSO) — one account shared across several VietMap applications.

  1. Open Store Directory in your browser.
  2. If you are not signed in, you are sent to the shared VietMap sign-in page. This is a common sign-in page, not a screen belonging to Store Directory.
  3. Enter the username and password of your VietMap Solutions account and confirm.
  4. Once signed in, the page returns to Store Directory and takes you to the Map list — the main screen to start working.

Already signed in to another VietMap app? You go straight in

Because the session is shared, if you have just signed in to another VietMap application in the same browser, the password step is skipped — you land directly on the Map list.

Don't have an account yet?

Store Directory accounts are created by your organization's administrator, or issued directly by VietMap Solutions. If you have no sign-in details yet, contact your administrator to have an account created.

Staying signed in

After signing in, the system remembers your session. On later visits you will not need to sign in again until:

  • The session expires, or
  • You deliberately sign out.

When the session expires you are sent back to the sign-in page for safety — signing in again is all it takes to continue.

Security tip

Avoid signing in on public computers. If you have to, sign out when you are done — and go through both steps; closing the browser is not enough.

Choosing a working account

One person can be granted access to several accounts (for example several brands or several business units).

  • If your account belongs to more than one organization, after signing in you will see a list of accounts to choose from.
  • Pick the account you want to work in.
  • If you only have one account, this step is skipped automatically.

Important

Every map and dataset shown in the application belongs to the currently selected account. If you cannot find data you expect to see, check whether you are in the right account.

Switching to another account

When you need to work with a different unit, click Switch account at the bottom of the left navigation bar. You are taken back to the account selection screen; pick another account and the data changes with it.

Switching accounts is not signing out

This action does not end your session — you are still signed in, just standing on the account selection screen. To leave entirely, see Signing out below.

The account area in the interface

At the bottom of the left navigation bar (sidebar) you always see:

  • The name and email of the signed-in user — a quick way to confirm which account you are using.
  • A light / dark theme toggle.
  • The Switch account button.

Signing out

Signing out takes two steps:

  1. Click Switch account at the bottom of the left navigation bar — you are taken to the account selection screen.
  2. On that screen, click Sign out at the bottom of the list.

The system ends your session and returns you to the sign-in page.

Signing out applies to every app sharing the account

Store Directory shares its account with other VietMap applications. Signing out here therefore ends your session in all of them, not just Store Directory. If you only want to switch to another unit, use Switch account — it is faster and does not require signing in again.

On a shared computer, go through both steps

Clicking Switch account and walking away is not safe: the session is still alive, and whoever uses the computer next can return to the application without a password. You must also click Sign out on the account selection screen, and only consider it done once you are back on the sign-in page.
